As the clock strikes 10, I will not fret. I will walk away from this year without any regret.
As the clock strikes 9, there will be no lament, for I know my time this year was very well spent.
As the clock strikes 8, I will smile and sigh as amazing memories of the year flash by.
As the clock strikes 7, I will laugh out loud at the wild things I’ve done, so much adventure and so much fun.
As the clock strikes 6, I will consider things still to be done and begin devising a plan for what is yet to come.
As the clock strikes 5, I will think of those we have lost and remember even in the best of circumstances, love has a cost.
As the clock strikes 4, I will let a tear or two flow, for the pain and suffering of so many I know.
As the clock strikes 3, I will take a look around and marvel in the blessings which surely abound.
As the clock strikes 2, I will close my eyes and pray. I will thank God for all the amazing joy He has already sent my way.
As the clock strikes 1, I will joyfully sing from my heart wide open ready for the new love it will bring.
May your year be filled with joy and peace. Happy New Year!
A Happy New Year to you as well! I did not stay up to see 2023 in, but I did wake up about five minutes to eleven, my time, which is five ’til midnight in Times Square. So I watched the ball descend and the new number light up, then rolled over and went back to sleep, to awake at my normal time, bright eyed and ready to take on the year! May there be hope, health and happiness in this fresh new year!
